Job Description

With leadership direction, the Sourcing Senior Consultant II sources and manages a combination of assignments and commodities/categories, primarily within marketing services, with of medium to high complexity and risk in support of Sourcing & Procurement Solutions (SPS) objectives. This role consults with clients by coordinating sourcing/project teams and advisory boards by integrating efforts across functions and teams. The Senior Sourcing Consultant delivers procurement value through competitive sourcing, effective contract negotiations and securing the lowest total cost of ownership solutions for our internal stakeholders. This role is required to consult with internal stakeholders, manage end- to- end sourcing projects and communicate solutions across functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively assess sourcing and category opportunities by gathering spend information, company purchasing patterns, competitive position, structured analysis of supplier/category industry, economics, market conditions, and expiring contracts
  • Use strong industry knowledge when partnering with others to establish sourcing strategies which include evaluation of sourcing alternatives, identifying the sourcing approach, and establishing project plan / timeline to deliver an effective sourcing solution
  • Lead negotiations of medium to high complexity contracts to document a clear understanding of supplier scope and performance expectations.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible value.
  • Execute the category strategy and plan for applicable categories as directed by SPS leadership.
  • Drive cost savings opportunities to meet SPS goals; work with business stakeholders and category management to identify savings opportunities. 
  • Leverage data and market analytics to provide intelligence, analysis and reporting on each sourcing event.
  • Execute applicable facets of the source to pay processes, ensuring process and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with company objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field(Preferred)
  • 3 or more years of related procurement and/or marketing experience (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of the marketing industry, such as advertising and media buying processes, digital and performance-based marketing trends and technologies, creative services and agency management, marketing print and direct mail, sponsorships and experiential marketing, and marketing analytics and performance metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Intermediate knowledge of procurement techniques and principles
  • Sourcing for medium to high complexity commodities
  • Experience with RFP development and execution
  • Experience with negotiations
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Analytical capabilities, including cost models
  • Ability to assist with issue analysis, solution development, and conflict resolution
  • Ownership of and input into departmental direction and operational processes

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - 114,175.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
