Overview

  • Tier One Technologies is looking for an EDI Mapping Analyst to support our US Government client.
  • This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position will be based in Raleigh, NC.
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain EDI maps using tools like Seeburger BIC Mapping design
  • Perform requirement analysis, design of the EDI maps.
  • Convert data between different formats, (e.g. X12, EDIFACT, XML, CSV).
  • Develop custom mapping solutions based on business and trading partners requirements.
  • Troubleshoot EDI errors, failures, and rejected transactions to ensure smooth data flow.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize performance and resolve mapping issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ANSI X12, EDIGFACT and other industry standards.
  • Maintain EDI documentation, including mapping specifications and guidelines
  • Perform unit testing, functional testing, and regression testing for new and updated EDI maps.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
  • Work with stakeholders to streamline data exchanges and reduce manual processing
  • Interact with external consultants or business partner representatives to complete EDI projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of IT-related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience mapping EDI transactions sets.
  • Experience with at least one EDI translator package on UNIX / LINUX such as EDI Translator packages such as Seeburger, Messageway, Gentran or TLE.
  • Working knowledge of EDI transactions sets (e.g. 856, 214, 810, CARDIT, INVOC).
  • Recent experience in an EDI Data mapper position within the last 3 years (non-supervisory role).
  • Experience with EDIFACT and ANSI X12 standards on UNIX / LINUX platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members).
