At AimHi Earth, our purpose is to ignite the desire to learn and act on what matters.
We are all focused on solving the following problem:
There’s no shortage of information – only of curiosity, focus and activation. This is a key part of why society isn’t taking adequate, informed action on the climate and nature emergency.
This is why AimHi Earth exists to transform understanding of the climate emergency, to activate hundreds of millions of nature-first thinkers, and to accelerate the evolution of our economy and society to one of sustainability and regeneration.
We are working to ensure that people and organisations everywhere understand the full picture of the climate and nature emergency, and are motivated to drive positive change, so that we can build a healthier, cooler, more verdant future together.
At AimHi Earth, we…
We’re now seeking a creative, collaborative, diligent, and imaginative Climate & Nature Researcher & Writer to complement our team and – as we scale our reach from tens of thousands to millions – to help us to ensure that our sessions stay high-integrity, hard-hitting, up-to-date and as engaging and moving as the scale of the global crisis demands.
Requirements
At AimHi Earth, our theory of change is simple: reach as many people in positions of power and influence as possible with world-class storytelling – clear and inspiring communication that drives measurable (and we do measure them) mindset and behavioural shifts.
As our Climate & Nature Researcher & Writer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and nurturing the narrative core of our work – researching, creating and finessing the material that the rest of the team is working so hard to get to people. You’ll work directly with our co-founder, Matthew Shribman, our content lead Abi Perrin, and the rest of our product team to make, edit and improve transformative materials for audiences across the globe.
Your work will involve constantly threading a needle through a narrow gap between (i) highly time-constrained, business- or institution-centric audiences, (ii) organisation directors concerned about what material they expose their employees to, and (iii) compelling and informative material that empowers and energises, to drive personal, professional and systemic change.
In essence, this is your chance to motivate and move people at the levers of power.
It’s not an easy task!
Your role will involve:
Furthermore, qualities that are essential for all of our roles at AimHi Earth include:
Benefits
We take great pride in our people and culture. We trust and admire one another, and we all share the twin desires of wanting to build a great organisation and combat the climate and nature emergency.
We comprise 15+ people working remotely around the world, and we talk openly and honestly, regularly. We aim to enable all of our team members to do their best work, be themselves, and ultimately feel energised every Monday. Although this is a contractor role and does not include access to perks like annual leave or wellbeing budgets, we are still proud to offer:
Remote work is not for everyone. With it comes freedom, but also isolation. Some enjoy remote work; others do not. Some like global video calls; others find them hollow.
We are a group of people who thrive on freedom and diversity, connect well over calls, and love to be working in synchronicity with people around the world. To balance our digital work lives, all our team members have active communities around where we live.
You will not get those regular water-cooler moments, nor those Friday afternoons at the pub with us. You will get a hugely dedicated, diligent team of smart, dynamic people, ambitious about changing the world for the better, and always ready to talk with one another.
Like us, you will be inspired by your colleagues (as we hope to be by you), and you will likely make life-long friends. But if you are worried that you may want more day-to-day, in-person interactions with the people you work with, then a role with us might not be for you.
We welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in the world. As this is a contractor role, location is flexible, and you will manage your own invoicing and compliance. Please apply to this role via Workable. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the final deadline for submissions on Sunday, 5th January 2025.
To apply, please provide:

We embrace diversity at AimHi Earth and are committed to welcoming people into our team and contractor pool regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or disability.
We are especially keen to encourage applications and interest from individuals underrepresented in our organisation and sector. We are very aware that the climate and nature crisis intersects with social injustice. Furthermore, to build an organisation that is effective in turning around the climate and nature emergency, we know that we need a team with all kinds of different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.
We understand that applying for a new role takes time and effort, and we truly value your interest. We are excited to hear from candidates who share our passion for creating meaningful change.
