We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with an interest for decentralized systems and expertise in infrastructure reliability. This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and scaling the infrastructure supporting the multiple networks from different ecosystems. You’ll be one of key team members whose solutions will be used in real projects.
The key part of this position is to introduce Kubernetes technologies into our team and help grow our infrastructure.
Monochains is a department covering projects related to several layer 1 networks: Near, Elrond, Flow, Mina and others. Layer 1 networks are maid to be a platform for building web3.0 dApps, which should be secured and highly scalable. With the continued support from the foundation, we're helping these networks grow - providing decentralization as an infrastructure provider.

Infrastructure Management:
Help design and maintain a hybrid cloud, multi-architecture infrastructure
Deploy and manage high availability Kubernetes based workloads
Help drive efforts to scale our infrastructure
Blockchain:
Operate, maintain, and optimize validator and rpc nodes across multiple ecosystems.
Ensure uptime and synchronization of blockchain nodes while managing state storage and network performance
Monitor blockchain-specific metrics, including block production, finality, and peer-to-peer network health
Stay updated with the latest developments in blockchain technology, including runtime upgrades and relay chain advancements
Observability & Incident Response:
Develop and maintain advanced observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and similar tools to monitor node health and network performance
Establish and refine incident response protocols, ensuring rapid detection, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues
Drive post-mortem analysis for major incidents and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability
Automation & Tooling:
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and updates for validators, rpc nodes and related services
Develop custom tools and scripts to simplify infrastructure management and reduce operational overhead
Contribute to open-source projects within the blockchain ecosystem.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Collaborate with engineers, DevOps specialists, and community contributors to deliver resilient blockchain infrastructure
Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices for SRE workflows and blockchain infrastructure
Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making for infrastructure improvements
Must:
Proven and strong experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads using tools like Helm, ArgoCD, and and secrets management tooling like HashiCorp Vault.
Extensive experience managing Linux systems in production environments, with a focus on performance and reliability
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Proficiency in scripting
Expertise in observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and incident response tooling (Opsgenie, PagerDuty)
Nice to Have:
Experience of migrating to Kubernetes
Experience running or managing blockchain nodes or infrastructure in a production environment (any blockchain ecosystem)
Contributions to any open source projects or any blockchain ecosystem
Familiarity with emerging trends in Web3 and blockchain infrastructure
