Description

We are seeking an experienced PMO Team Manager with a strong background in Enterprise digital transformation to join our team.  The PMO Manager will lead and oversee a team of 5-10 project managers, driving excellence in project delivery and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of Evans’ IT department. This individual will provide guidance on project management best practices, foster team development, and cultivate a high-performance culture within the PMO. They will organize and report on the IT project portfolio, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities. They will also oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital projects that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer, agent, and driver experiences, and advance business innovation. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Define, implement, and manage the strategic roadmap for digital transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align digital projects with business goals
  • Champion the digital transformation vision, building support for strategic IT initiatives across departments
  • Oversee all phases of project development, from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines
  • Ensure resource allocation, project prioritization, and contingency planning to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Utilize Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and other project management methodologies to drive efficient project execution
  • Lead a cross-functional team of IT professionals, business analysts, and data scientists to drive digital transformation goals
  • Partner with stakeholders in operations, customer service, safety, finance, agent relations, and training to ensure seamless integration and adoption of digital solutions
  • Communicate program status and key insights to executive stakeholders 
  • Drive the adoption of advanced digital technologies to improve operational efficiency
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and data governance standards to ensure data-driven decision-making
  • Stay updated with industry trends, evaluating and recommending technology solutions that align with organizational objectives
  • Develop and execute a change management plan to promote the adoption of digital transformation initiatives
  • Address resistance, enhance user engagement, and foster a culture that embraces continuous digital improvement
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in program management in IT
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi business process, integrated digital transformation initiatives with commercial COTS applications.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading large multifunctional project teams
  • 10+ years of experience and success in partnering with COTS vendors to drive requirements and new functionality
  • Experience with integrating both waterfall and agile methodologies across multiple teams
  • 10+ years of experience in successfully partnering with business stakeholders for process development and implementation
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana).
  • Familiarity with digital technologies relevant to the transportation industry (TMS, ERP, IoT, AI, data analytics).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise systems.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills 
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in developing and implementing performance metrics and KPI management
  • Skilled in driving change and overcoming resistance to new technology 
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English in a professional manner
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree 
  • Experience working in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or a related industry
