Remote Accounting
We are seeking a remote Accounting Specialist (AS) to join our team and will report to the Accounting Services Team Manager.

The Cloud Accounting Specialist (CAS) is responsible for providing high-level accounting support to multiple clients. The CAS will also be responsible for the client relationship and will be the primary point of contact for any service or quality issues, questions, and concerns. The CAS will support the development of their entire team by behaving as a peer resource for other team members throughout the organization.

Requirements

    • AS requires both an advanced Accounting skill set and a customer service

Skill Set

    • Strong organizational skills
    • Preferable knowledge of QBO, Xero, Dext, Bill.com, Melio, and related technologies
    • Strong understanding of accounting best practices
    • Flexibility towards project directional changes
    • High standards for customer satisfaction
    • Comfort with various communication platforms: Phone, Email, Slack, Zoom, etc.
    • Attention to detail
    • Familiarity with multiple business models and accounting best practices
    • Adequate experience in bookkeeping/accounting
    • In addition to the core requirements, the Cloud Accounting Specialist should have a solid understanding and application of GAAP principles.

Tasks

    • Complete accounting work as agreed upon in the clients’ contracts (may also require the use of integrating applications).
    • Manage core accounting tasks (bank/cc feeds, monthly bank reconciliations, etc)
    • Perform advanced accounting tasks which may include but are not limited to sales tax returns and payments, inventory reconciliations, month-end closing, 1099 processing, supporting integrations, manual or automated financial data import from third-party platforms, and financial report overview.
    • Create and maintain updated client information and key processes for each client.
    • Act as the primary client contact and relationship manager. Maintain client relationships with all clients so that clients understand that the CAS will be sufficiently knowledgeable of the client’s business activity and is available to assist the client with any matter requiring escalation.
    • Provide additional technical and accounting support to team members throughout Reconciled.
$8 - $9.50 an hour
